The Fundamentals of New Spiritualism

With absolutely no doubt or hesitation, and with all my being, I believe in the following truths which I have compiled under the name of New-Spiritualism:

1. There is a God who is the creator of the universe.

2. God is absolute, and no other being, no other concept, can be brought into comparison with God.

3. Understanding and perceiving God is not within the capacity of any living creature.

4. God is the sole ideal for living beings. Thus, to try to adapt all their feelings, thoughts and actions to the Laws of Divine Will and the requirements of those laws, is the aim of all living beings.

5. Evolution consists of living beings traversing various phases towards this aim.

6. Evolution continues eternally, without stopping and without any conclusion in its phases. In evolution, even if there are temporary pauses due to human indolence, there is never any turning back.

7. Evolution occurs in the universe, in various earthly lives, beginning with the most self-centred of stages and flowing on through the most intricate and subtle ones that are beyond our comprehension. It happens by our enduring a variety of phases and experiences, trials and tests, and by virtue of passing through these very trials and tests, increasing our learning and experience of the spirit.

8. In these trials and tests, the sole road to success in the manner ordained by the Laws of Divine Will lies in constantly distancing ourselves from selfishness and material greed. With selfless actions on our part, our walk on the path to God can be made easier, in other words, evolutionary.

9. Among these selfless actions, I believe the following are necessary:

Renunciation, Self-Sacrifice, Love, Compassion, Mercy and Tolerance.

10. In evolution, the cornerstone is virtue. Coupled with selfless actions, the components of which I have outlined above, are also walking on the path to God without a fear of anything, and not being waylaid halfway by material things or any other obstacles. Moreover, we must not hesitate to openly defend truth, beauty and justice, whenever and wherever the case may be, and to hold God above all else. The way towards God is to accept this as an ideal direction for oneself; for this is the integral component of virtue.

11. In our every task, in our every action and every effort, the name of God is the foundation. Without God, I believe that we have no power over anything.

12. Spirits, continuing to evolve, relative to the growth of their strength and scope, come to a state of each being an agent entrusted with implementing the Laws of Divine Will. So, out of the Will of God, each becomes God's loyal and eternal servant, without ever once thinking of any other course of action (true servitude). And this constitutes the longed-for, the most ideal happiness for the spirits.

13. The world is being enlightened through the guidance and help coming from ever-high spirit realms and plans. Noble beings recognize a duty and a pleasure in announcing these plans to the world at the right time and place in relation to the receptivity of the people of the world. This is a need and a result of their evolution.

14. In every era, according to the comprehension and capability of that era, messages have been sent all over the earth from high spirit realms, through the medium of various senders and receivers. In our times, these messages are being carried by people who have readied themselves to receive the divine inspiration from high inspirational sources, such as those carried by means of intuitive mediums.

15. It is the agreed duty of people on the divine path, especially of those who have the distinction of having received these messages, to read the spiritually-guided communications which have been received regarding the high spiritual plans. And after reading them, it is also their duty to try to understand them, and thereafter, to accept them and conform to their requirements.

16. Spirits are free to either carry out, or not carry out, their duties. No power can force them to do their duty. But then again, it is their own faculties of conscience that warn mankind especially about their duty.

17. Through neglect or lack of concern for our duties, no power from outside can punish mankind. However, the clearly defined duty of the spirits on the Divine Path is that they will pass judgment for either peace of mind or torture, according to the Laws of Divine Will.

18. The judgment of conscience, the element of making man either a prisoner or bettering himself derives from his (good or evil) intention in every action. However, the factor preparing man's future peace and happiness (or his suffering) is not the things he has done, but whether his intentions have been pure or corrupt. In other words, an evil-intentioned person doing good prepares a mood of anguish for himself. And, a good-intentioned person unknowingly harming others prepares a mood of peace for himself. Thus, good will is the basis for everything, in every action.

19. Selfless actions and decisions belonging to the Divine Path, which I explained earlier, comprise the boundaries of good will.

20. It follows from all these things that our worldly life is necessary only as a vehicle on the Path of Divine Will, with points of benefit contributing to our development towards our eternal spiritual life. Being brought along this way is a vitally necessary trial, and duty, of the universe. It is the duty of humanity to leave this world with success, holding as fundamental the completion of every worldly task and duty in the understanding that this is only a vehicle for the evolution of our spirit.
